Valentine's Day, occurring on February 14th, is a time to tell of your love. Traditionally a romantic message, a declaration of love, is given to the person one desires with the request: 'Will you be my Valentine?' Answering 'yes' indicates that the love is accepted and returned. A romantic relationship is established.
